Motorcycle, Items Stolen From L&W Safe Lock

Yelm police officers recovered a stolen motorcycle on Saturday, March 11, near Palisades Street Southeast.

The motorcycle was taken from a storage unit belonging to the victim’s family and stolen sometime after mid-January. Officers were able to contact the owner on Sunday, March 12.

Along with the motorcycle, several other items were stolen. The items were estimated to be worth $3,000.

Damage to the recovered motorcycle totaled $700 and nearly $400 of fishing gear was reportedly stolen.



There are no further leads at this time.

Vehicle Prowl Reported at Prairie Park Hotel

Yelm police officers responded to a call on the morning of Tuesday, March 7, after a person called to report a padlock was broken off of a fence that led to the truck area at Prairie Park Hotel. 

Nothing appeared to be missing or stolen, according to a police report.

Video surveillance confirmed an unknown man had cut the padlock, but did not steal anything.

There are no further leads at this time.
