Roy Park Advisory Committee accepting applications for new member

The City of Roy Park Advisory Committee is accepting applications for a new member.

The committee was recently established to work collaboratively with the Roy City Council to help the continued development of Roy city parks, walking trails and public areas. Members will help make informed decisions on what is best for the Roy community in regard to parks and recreation and ensure that the city has ample space for families to enjoy.

Advisory boards and commissions are a structured way for individual residents to share opinions and perspectives, study issues and develop recommendations in a focused, small-group environment. The purpose of the boards and commissions is to provide thorough, judicious advice from the perspective of Roy residents to the City Council and mayor, according to the announcement.

The application can be found on the City of Roy website under Business — Forms & Documents titled Volunteer Application for Vacant Board or Commission Position.

Interested residents are encouraged to contact City Hall at 253-843-1113 or roycityhall@cityofroywa.us for questions about the application process or if accommodations are needed.
