Editor,
I have spent the last 25 years as a proud student of the Great Ram in the Ramtha School of Enlightenment.
They have been the most amazing and evolving years of my life. When I continually read, in this paper, all the lies and innuendos that are thrown at my precious school and JZ Knight, my heart is hurt and saddened.
It seems that Pastor Jeff Adams, Virginia Coverdale and Dr. Brian Keay have joined together in a vendetta against my school. It almost feels like the inquisition is back.
I question their motives and what they are really getting out of this. Does hate and attack bring you joy and happiness?
Regarding Dr. Keay’s letter, I always understood doctors to be bound by their “Hippocratic oath,” an oath historically taken by physicians and other healthcare professionals swearing to practice medicine honestly. Wikipedia states that the Hippocratic oath can be broken up to cover 12 different areas. The 11th area covered is confidentiality; this simply says that a doctor will not repeat anything that is seen or heard.
Does Dr. Keay’s personal feelings about JZ Knight interfere with his oath?
And let us not forget Coverdale was penalized more than $600,000 by the Thurston County Superior Court, reported previously in your newspaper.
Dr. Keay and Coverdale would have you and your readers believe all county officials and stewards of our local government are wrong and only their views are correct, of course, totally discarding the justice systems decision against Coverdale.
And Jeff Adams has been formally voted by the community as divisive.
Why do these people keep dividing this city? Why can’t we come together in love, harmony and respect for one another? I feel it is time to do this.
Brendan Williams, attorney and disabilities advocate published a letter last November stating, “He hoped that we move forward as a tolerant community” after an unfortunate election campaign by Gary Alexander and attacks on Knight and our community.
I honor JZ Knight for her commitment and strength of 37 years to this teaching. She is truly a remarkable life and I am personally grateful to her for all she has done to keep this school together and for all her great contributions to this community.
