Yelm’s King Cronic burglarized as Kia smashes through front doors

Yelm’s King Cronic, a cannabis shop located at 1000 E. Yelm Ave. C, was burglarized on Tuesday, Aug. 29 in the early hours of the morning.

According to the Yelm Police Department, the break-in occurred around 4 a.m. after a reported Kia Soul smashed through the business’s front glass door.



As well, at 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 29, Thurston County Sheriff Deputies received a call of a vehicle smashing into a building in the 7900 block of Martin Way. The business affected was “Pipes R Us,” and the vehicle in question was a car, suspected as being stolen, was registered out of Seattle. Surveillance showed several males enter the building and take items before fleeing in a silver passenger car.

Although police have not released a formal statement linking the two incidents, bystanders with any information related to the incidents or possible dash camera footage are asked to contact dispatch at 360-704-2740, or email detectives@co.thurston.wa.us.
