The Thurston County Chamber will give area residents the opportunity to learn more about local candidates in a Meet the Candidates forum and reception in Lacey.
The Thurston County Chamber will host the event from 11:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 11 at Saint Martin's University’s Norman Worthington Center, 5300 Pacific Ave. SE, in Lacey.
Local political figures featured at the candidate forum will be Legislative District 2 State Representative Position 2 candidates Matt Marshall and John Snaza; Legislative District 22 State Representative Position 2 candidates Lisa Parshley and Syd Locke; and Legislative District 22 State Senator candidates Jessica Bateman and Bob Iyall.
Thurston County Chamber’s Public Policy Team Director Doug Mah will serve as the event moderator and will guide candidates through a discussion of key issues within Thurston County. In addition to the featured races, new candidates and incumbents running for public office within the county will be present at the event.
