Vehicle Stolen From Tustin Apartments

Yelm police officers responded to a call on Tuesday, Feb. 14, after a car was reported stolen from the Tustin Apartments in Yelm.

Upon arrival, police officers learned it was a blue Datsun truck.

The prior night, the neighbor of the truck’s owner said he heard the truck start around 10 p.m., but didn’t check to see who started it.

The victim said he has three sets of keys and was in possession of all of them.

Masonry Cafe Burglarized, Cash Drawer Stolen

Yelm police officers responded to a call at around 6:15 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 13, after an employee of Masonry Cafe reported the business was broken into.



Upon arrival, police officers cleared the building and noticed the cash register was open and a cash drawer was missing.

The employee said the camera was pointed to the ground and they were unaware if it was working. There were no other security cameras in the restaurant, according to a police report.

Around $100 was estimated to be stolen from the register, according to a police report.

There is no suspect information at this time.

Car Struck While Parked at Yelm Walmart

Yelm police officers responded to a hit-and-run call at around 5:35 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 13, at the Walmart in Yelm after the victims reported their vehicle was struck while they were shopping.

The victims told police officers they entered the store at around 5:15 p.m. and returned to their car just 15 minutes later to find damage to their vehicle.

It was reported there was a dent on the rear driver’s side quarter panel, according to a police report.
