Drug Violation Takes Place Near Bridge Road Southeast

Yelm police officers observed a car parked on Bridge Road Southeast on Friday, Feb. 3 near a location that burnt down the day prior.

As the officers neared the location, they saw a man and a woman bringing items into an abandoned RV.

When the individuals were questioned by officers, they said they knew the property owners of the area and stated they had permission to be there.

The people couldn’t name the property owner, according to a police report.

After officers identified both individuals, they learned the man had a warrant out for his arrest. While searching the man, they found 1.46 grams of methamphetamine on his person, as well as a hypodermic needle.

Over $380 of Goods Stolen From Walmart

Yelm police officers responded to a theft call on Saturday, Feb. 4 at the Walmart in Yelm.

Upon arrival, police officers were informed that a woman with a blonde wig, who was wearing a brown jacket and a brown beanie, had stolen several items from the store.

After police officers located the individual, they found over $380 worth of stolen goods in several backpacks belonging to the woman.



She faces a third-degree theft charge and was issued a lifetime trespass from Walmart.

Auto Theft Reported Near Quarter Mile Bar and Grill

Yelm police officers responded to a call at around 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 31, after an individual reported his Subaru Legacy was stolen from the parking lot near Quarter Mile Bar and Grill.

Police officers learned the man was drinking in town the night prior, and hitched a ride home instead of driving. When he returned the next day to retrieve his vehicle, it was gone.

At this time, there are no leads.

Shoplifting Reported at Yelm Walmart

Yelm police officers responded to a call on Friday, Feb. 3, after an individual reportedly left Walmart without paying for some items.

After locating the woman, police officers learned she paid for some groceries, but did not pay for $169 worth of other goods.

The individual was trespassed from Walmart.
