A 38-year-old Lacey man died in a two-vehicle crash near Tenino in the morning of Monday, Sept. 2, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The man, who has not been publicly identified pending notification of his next of kin, was traveling north on state Route 507 near mile marker 16 at about 8:30 a.m.  when his 2008 Honda Accord left its lane and struck a southbound 2002 Chevrolet Suburban driven by a 50-year-old Yelm man, George Arsu.

Both vehicles left the roadway and went down an embankment, with the Lacey man’s car rolling onto its top. The Lacey man was pronounced dead at the scene. Arsu was not injured. Both were wearing seat belts. It is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
