It is with great sadness that we announce John “Papa” Reeves, of Yelm, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2024, at his home in Lake Lawrence, exactly as he wished it to be.
He joins his wife of 46 years, Cherie’, in Heaven.
John is survived by his loving family, including his brother, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his many dear friends who were blessed to have known him.
John's life was a testament to his unwavering love and loyalty. He had an infectious laugh and a quick wit that could light up any room. John lived his life exactly how he wanted, and he felt extremely blessed.
John's passing is a tremendous loss to all who knew him, but we take comfort in knowing that he lived a life full of joy and purpose. He may be gone from our sight, but he will always be in our hearts and memories.
His request was to keep it simple. Join us to shoot the breeze and swap stories in his honor at 11 a.m. Sunday, June 9, at Lake Lawrence Lower Lodge (near the lake), 15735 Topaz Drive SE, Yelm. Light snacks and refreshments will be served.
