In Loving Memory of David Cook: 1957-2025

Posted

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of David W. Cook on March 25, 2025, in Centralia, Washington. David was born to Laurence Cook and Lorraine (Tolliver) Cook on March 30, 1957, in Colville, Washington.

After the family moved to McKenna, Washington, the Cooks made their home on a 120-acre chicken farm, which made for a big playground but also came with daily chores. Dave attended Yelm schools, where he made many friends during those years and carried them to the end. He will be deeply missed and will always be remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor.

David was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Dan (2018). Left to cherish his memory are his son, Forrest Cook, of Aberdeen; sister, Debbie (Kurt) Allen, of Toledo; and his brother, Doug (Cindy), of Erie, Pennsylvania, along with cousins, nieces and nephews.

There will be a gathering at the Yelm Eagles, 11609 Koeppen Road, on June 7 at 2 p.m. We welcome all childhood friends and anyone else who has a good story and memories about the time spent with Dave (Rooster).
