The Yelm High School Choir Boosters Committee saw successful fundraising efforts on Friday, Feb. 28, during its spaghetti feed at the Nisqually Valley Moose Lodge as roughly $4,500 was raised by the local community.

Last month, YHS Choir Instructor Tim Henderson told the Nisqually Valley News that the YHS Choir Boosters Committee’s fundraiser for the choir program’s upcoming trip to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York City was nearing its $60,000 goal.

According to Henderson, 100 tickets were sold for the spaghetti feed and event inside the Nisqually Valley Moose Lodge. A portion of the funds raised during the event has paid for all of the choir students making the trip to the Big Apple to attend the 9/11 Memorial Museum.
