Yelm’s Windermere Real Estate celebrated a new chapter in the business’s history on Thursday, Aug. 15, as community members and leaders joined Terry Kaminski and Holly Kappert to celebrate the two taking over the establishment, 709 E. Yelm Ave.

Kaminski told the Nisqually Valley News that she’s been at the Windermere office in Yelm for 25 years and has served as a broker for nearly 40 years. She feels excited to see her and Kappert’s careers “taken up a level.”

“I love working in this community,” Kaminski said. “I feel like real estate is a really privileged business, and there’s a lot of other agents from other companies here. In Yelm, we’re not competitors. We’re really good friends, and that makes it even more wonderful to be in real estate.

“We wanted to get to the next level,” Kaminksi added. “This office is a family, and we work together. We don’t compete with each other. We want to extend ourselves more to the community for events, and just ensure the quality of the transactions we do. We love what we do, and we strive to be the best. We want to be a leader in the community.”

Kappert said it was nice to see so many community members celebrating the transition of ownership at Windermere Real Estate in Yelm.

“Windermere is under new management now, and we’re happy to be here and happy to be in the community,” Kappert said. “A lot of people are here today to support us, and that’s great. We’re always looking for new talents, so if anybody wants to come over and join our team, we’d love to see them.”
