Join the Yelm Timberland Library from 10:30 to 11 a.m. every Thursday for family storytime. The event includes music, movement, books and activities for the whole family. Children must be accompanied by a participating adult. The library is at 210 Prairie Park St. NE in Yelm.
Yelm wrestling hosts North Thurston
Yelm High School’s boys wrestling team will host North Thurston High School at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 11 in a dual meet inside YHS’s gymnasium.

Yelm High School’s boys basketball team (3-7, 1-5 in SSC) will host conference opponent and rival Gig Harbor (9-2, 6-1 in SSC) at 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 12 inside YHS’s gymnasium. Tickets to the contest can be purchased online at GoFan.co.

LEGO Club at Timberland Library
The Yelm TImberland Library is set to host a LEGO Club meeting from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 13. The meetings take place on the second Saturday of each month, including on Feb. 10, March 9, April 13, May 11 and June 8. Each meeting will present a monthly theme to build around, but participants are welcomed to use their creativity to create their own LEGO masterpiece, if desired. Younger children should be accompanied to the event. The library is located at 201 Prairie Park St. SE in Yelm.

Bigelow House Museum Tour
The Bigelow House Museum offers regular escorted tours on the first and second Sunday of the month at 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. Entrance fees are $5 per adult, $4 for seniors and students, and $2 for children. The museum is located at 918 Glass Ave. NE in Olympia.

Coach Strand’s Final Home Wrestling Dual
Yelm’s wrestling program invites the community to celebrate legendary head wrestling coach Gaylord Strand as he coaches his final home dual as the program’s head coach. This season marks Strand’s 50th year as the Tornados’ head coach. The event is set to begin at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, as Yelm takes on the Bethel Bison. At the conclusion of the dual, community members can join former wrestlers, coaches and current athletes in celebrating Strand’s career with speakers, presents and food.
