Lab results from an algae bloom sample taken at Lake Lawrence on Tuesday, Feb. 4, detected microcystin at 0.32 micrograms per liter, which is below the state regulations of 8.0 micrograms per liter.
The current algae warning, which has been in effect since the fall, has been lifted, and signs posted by Thurston County staff will be removed as soon as staff are able.
The algae advisory was downgraded to a warning following an algae sample taken by Thurston County Public Health staff on Nov. 5.
