Following an emotional run in the 2025 District 3/4 4A Softball Tournament — where Yelm, an 11 seed, played the role of underdogs twice and defeated six-seeded Kentridge and three-seeded Rogers — six Tornados have been named to the 2025 All League SPSL South Division team.

Five Tornados made the first team SPSL South list, including senior catcher Layah Hicks, junior outfielder Aliyah Congdon-Snyder, junior infielder Jocelyn Lintz, sophomore infielder Kamille Kautz and freshman utility player Paityn Powell.

Senior Austin Hitchner, who played middle infield and pitched for the Tornados in 2025, was named to the second team All-SPSL South list for her efforts on the mound. She concluded her final campaign in the red and black with 53 innings pitched and a 4.22 earned run average (ERA). She struck out 78 batters and concluded the season with a 5-3 overall record across nine starts and 11 appearances on the mound.

Senior Jessika Jennings of Graham-Kapowsin High School, a former Yelm Tornado, was named Most Valuable Player of the SPSL-South. She concluded the season with a batting average of .476 and an OPS of 1.347. She collected 30 hits, including five doubles, two triples, four home runs and 38 RBIs.
