Onalaska was down three starters in Rainier on Friday, but the Loggers were still able to piece together an impressive performance and come away with an 11-6 victory.

The two teams traded blows through the first four innings, and the Loggers led 4-3 going into the fifth.

Chloe Haag hit a two-run triple to extend the lead, and that hit kickstarted a seven-run fifth inning that broke the game open for Onalaska.

Peyton Iverson and Randi Haight both hit a triple and finished with three hits, and they combined to drive in three runs.

Gracin Vickers added three hits of her own and scored twice, Haag finished with two hits and two runs batted in, and Kate Zandell also added a pair of hits.

Haag also pitched the first six innings, striking out five and giving up just two earned runs (three total).

Elaina Henry led the Rainier offense with a home run, a triple, and two RBIs, and Ryleigh Cruse added three hits, including a double, and drove in a run of her own. Mia Naval also hit a double as part of a two-hit afternoon, and she scored twice.

Both teams are now off until Monday, April 13, when Onalaska (5-2) hosts Napavine and Rainier (2-5) heads to Toledo for a doubleheader. Both matchups will kick off league play, but only the first of the two games in the doubleheader will count towards the league standings.
