Santa Claus is coming to town, trading his sleigh for a ride through Yelm neighborhoods aboard a City of Yelm truck Thursday, Dec. 19 from 5 to 8 p.m.
The truck will be decked out in twinkling lights, festive music and Christmas cheer. Residents are encouraged to gather their families, bundle up and wave as Santa spreads joy to all ages from the comfort of their street.
The City of Yelm recommends snapping photos and sharing the festive moment to social media using #YelmSantaSleighRide.
Santa Claus will also tag along with South Pierce Fire and Rescue firefighters for a visit through McKenna and Roy neighborhoods from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, and Friday, Dec. 6. Santa will head to the McKenna Meadows, Oakview, Roy and Lake Serene neighborhoods on Thursday and the 282nd through 292nd Street East neighborhoods, as well as the Maple Manor and Lacamas gated community, on Friday.
