Rutledge Family Farm celebrates 25 years of Halloween events

Thurston County’s Rutledge Family Farm has been holding Halloween events for 25 years, and it won’t be slowing down this year.

The farm has a haunted maze, pumpkin patch and many other everyday activities.

The haunted maze is separate from the regular corn maze and is recommended for ages 10 and up. It’s open on select days between Sept. 20 and Nov. 1.

The pumpkin patch has a variety of different pumpkins, such as orange, warty and white. Pumpkins are priced by the pound, but visiting the patch is free.

Regular carving and specialty pumpkins are $0.57 per pound; pie pumpkins and mini pumpkins are $3 each; gourds are two for $3; and corn stalks are $8 a bundle.

Everyday activities include the corn maze, wall ball, the swings, spin chairs, the Bubble Barn, tetherball, a calf roping practice station, the Spookley Story Trail and Zach The Singing Tractor.

Weekends have all of the aforementioned activities, plus weekend-only activities, such as the Cow Train, the Corn Cannon, a wagon ride and the jump pad, if the weather permits.

Tickets for Mondays through Thursdays cost $10, with a $1 discount for military and seniors.

Weekend tickets cost $13, with the same senior and military discount.

From Monday to Thursday, Rutledge Family Farm opens at 10 a.m. and closes at 6 p.m., with the last ticket sold at 5 p.m.
