Runners enjoy colorful mess at YARD’s inaugural Color Fun Run

People of all ages flocked to Yelm City Park for Youth Athletic Recreation Development’s (YARD) inaugural Color Fun Run to enjoy the sunshine and a new white T-shirt later sprayed with colored powder to commemorate the event on Saturday, June 15. YARD, in collaboration with the City of Yelm Parks and Recreation Department, put on three races, one for ages 2 to 4, another for ages 5 to 13, and one final race for ages 14 and up. Staff from both organizations sprayed colored powder on runners as they passed through the park.
