In what has become a budding tradition, Prestige Senior Living Rosemont held its third annual prom for senior residents on Saturday, June 21.

Dubbed “A Night to Remember,” this year’s prom was Rosemont’s biggest ever, with over 100 people in attendance, said Kylie Woods, director of community relations.

In advance of the special night, Rosemont promgoers received the full beauty treatment. Bliss Experience Salon provided hair and makeup services. Kasey Cartledge, owner of Get Fit Yelm and The Loft Esthetics, offered facial waxing. And Ashley Lea Brooks, former Yelm city councilmember, spent two days doing the residents’ nails, according to Woods.

Rounding out the decor, Jason’s Greenhouse donated plant arrangements “to help give Rosemont a vibrant life for the prom,” Woods said.

Guests enjoyed music, dancing, drinks and catering from Masonry Cafe. Even Santa Claus, otherwise known as Harry Miller, Bald Hills Fire Department commissioner, stopped by to dance and mingle.

Emilee Chavez, owner of Emilee Nadine Photography, documented the festivities with her camera.

Of course, no prom is complete without a crowning. This year, the honors of queen and king went to Janna Carter and Duane McCammant. Duane asked Janna to be his date before the event.

Woods expressed her appreciation for everyone who attended and gave their time and resources.

“We are so grateful for the support of our Yelm community,” Woods said. “The Yelm community makes our events so special with the attendance of our events and all of the wonderful volunteers who helped make the prom memorable.”
