Patients, family members sought for Providence Swedish advisory council

Posted

Former patients or family members of patients who would like to share their ideas about care and help to improve care at Providence Medical Group clinics, Providence St. Peter Hospital or Providence Centralia Hospital, can apply to join the Patient Family Advisory Council (PFAC).

Providence Swedish is recruiting new members for the PFAC. Formed in 2011, PFAC members influence and impact policies and practices that affect the care and services patients receive.

“Providence Swedish in South Puget Sound is committed to partnering with patients, families, and caregivers throughout the healthcare experience,” Chief Executive Darin Goss said. “The Patient Family Advisory Council provides an invaluable perspective. Our mission is all about serving patients and families. With PFAC members serving on committees, the eyes of the patient are always with us.”

PFAC meets from noon to 2 p.m. the first Friday of each month. All meetings are currently held in person and are available via video conferencing. Members who represent diversity with respect to all backgrounds are welcome.

The application process involves submitting an application, participating in an interview and completing the volunteer recruitment process. If interested, fill out the application at shorturl.at/qtVDM and email to Trish Warnick at patricia.warnick@providence.org.
