Candice Chenoweth of Roy woke up at 5:30 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 14 to the family’s parrot squawking. When she investigated the cause, she discovered an owl in her dining room and assumed it entered through the doggy door. The owl refused to leave, even when Chenoweth opened the front door. She called animal control, which removed the bird of prey from the house. Chenoweth wrote in an email that her parrot might need therapy but was otherwise unharmed.
