One Net Yelm, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in Yelm, received a $38,619 grant to fund the purchase and installation of a wheelchair-accessible swing at Yelm City Park.
The grant, awarded by the Nisqually Indian Tribe, will help enable One Net Yelm to provide a much-needed resource for children and families with mobility challenges. The total project will cost over $75,000, and One Net Yelm will continue fundraising throughout the year to reach its goals. The organization aims to begin installing the swing this year, President Line Roy said.
