The Thurston County Board of County Commissioners unanimously approved a contract with the Nisqually Valley News for the newspaper to serve as the official county newspaper of record for legal publication services from July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025.

The board voted on the action during its meeting on Tuesday, June 18. In a statement sent to the CT Publishing team, owner and publisher Chad Taylor shared his excitement about the collaboration.

“This achievement is a testament to our commitment to flexibility and exceptional customer service, which played a crucial role in establishing this partnership,” he wrote. “Please join me in celebrating this exciting milestone for our company.”

Thurston County Manager Leonard Hernandez wrote in an email to Taylor that “Your flexibility and commitment to customer service is what convinced us to establish this partnership with your paper.”

The previous Thurston County newspaper of record was The Olympian.
