The Rainier volleyball team continued its fast start to the season Monday, sweeping Ocosta 26-24, 25-17, 25-23 in three close sets.
“The girls played collectively well,” Rainier coach Carrie Ooms said.
Acacia Murphy led the Mountaineers (3-0) with nine kills, while Brooklynn Swenson dished out 13 assists, Janess Blackburn posted six aces, and Olivia Earsley came up with 21 digs.
Rainier will face Napavine on Thursday in the first of four straight matches against Central 2B League rivals that will count as non-league outings in the standings.
