One person was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after the driver crashed their vehicle into a pole at the intersection of Longmire Street Southeast and 100th Avenue Southeast in Yelm in the early morning on Saturday, Feb. 17.
According to scanners, the vehicle and pole were both totalled. The street was temporarily shut down due to the instability of the pole, which was removed later that afternoon, when the roadway was reopened.
