I wish to compliment you and your staff at the Nisqually Valley News for your continuing excellence in covering local high school sports and academic achievements and other activities.  Even as COVID restrictions were in place, you helped young athletes get the recognition they deserve. Covering graduation in a year when the celebrations had to be muted was an important thing to do. The photography is very good and the coverage is thorough.  Such printed recognition is helpful to students who are compiling a portfolio for college admission. 

It has been many years since I had offspring in elementary or high school.  In my 50-plus years of being a parent and grandparent, I have seen that positive recognition of effort and hard-won achievement is very important.  Thank you for providing that to so many young people.

Please keep up your good work!  Just as you have offered positive reinforcement to our young people, I’m offering it to you.
