William Case Buck II (CASEY) went to be with the Lord on Oct. 20, 2025. He had been battling Parkinson’s with Lewy body dementia for a long time. There will be a service at Crossroads Community Covenant Church on Nov. 23, 2025, at 2 p.m., located at 11520 Bald Hill Road SE, Yelm, Washington.
Casey was born Aug. 9, 1952, to William Case Buck and Catherine Cheney in Seattle, Washington. In 1971, he graduated from Mt. Rainier High School in Des Moines, Washington. He joined the Navy in 1971 and was honorably discharged in 1972. He graduated from Highline Jr. College; Central Washington University in Ellensburg with a B.A. in speech and drama; and a Master of Arts degree from Pacific Lutheran University.
In 1982, Casey married Lee Ann Garred in Buckley. Casey had the opportunity to teach for many years in Washington state, and nine years in the Northwest Arctic School District in Alaska, where he was also an administrator. Casey was also an associate/youth Covenant pastor in Des Moines and, years later, one of the pastors at Yelm’s Crossroads Community Covenant Church.
Casey leaves behind his wife Lee Ann Buck; son Philip Stegman (Marisa); daughters Miranda Summerlin (Stephen) and Devin N. Jones, M.D.; as well as brother Curtis Buck (Marla); sisters Loralea Hildner, Shannon Martinson (Craig), Maureen Thacher (Greg); and brother-in-law Henry Biernacki. He also leaves behind five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews (all greatly loved). He was preceded in death by his sister Cathleen Biernacki and brother-in-law Richard Hildner.
Casey Buck was an incredible Christian man. He will be missed by all that had the opportunity to get to know him.
Heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Tamara Bunn of Yelm Family Medical of Yelm; Dr. Arash Fazl of the Booth Gardner Parkinson’s Care Center; and Bonaventure of Lacey for their loving care of Casey.
