Thomas Isom, 80, a lifelong resident of Washington and proud U.S. Army veteran, passed away September 2, 2025, in Yelm, Washington.
He was born May 9, 1945, in Olympia, Washington. Thomas grew up in the region he would call home for his entire life. He graduated from Yelm High School and went on to serve his country with honor as a member of the United States Army.
Thomas is survived by his devoted wife, Sharilyn Isom; daughter, Chelle Dalager (Tricia); sister, Patricia Isom; and his brother, Bob Isom (Chris). His grandchildren Mikayla Wisher, Jake, Colton and Sami Dalager, Hayden and Avery Strasdin; and one great-grandchild, Briar Strasdin. He was also a beloved uncle to numerous nieces and nephews who
knew him as a favorite presence in their lives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Letha Isom; and by his son, Mike Dalager.
A man deeply rooted in family and service, Thomas will be remembered with love and respect by all who knew him. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched with quiet strength and enduring kindness.
