In loving memory of Robert Leroy Aschenbrenner Jr.: 1975-2026

Posted

Robert Leroy Aschenbrenner Jr. (Rob) was born November 19, 1975 in Puyallup, Washington. He passed away in St. Peter's Hospital on January 11, 2026.

He was a busy little guy–he had two brothers, and lots of cousins and Rainier friends to keep up with. From an early age, he volunteered at the Rainier Sportsman's Club during the Saturday night motorcycle races and helped with the cleanup of the entire racetrack area on Sundays with his Dad and brothers. Middle school brought flag football, then in high school his loves were football and baseball. He graduated from Rainier High School in 1994.

Four of his summers were spent in Alaska with his family where his Dad was working. So many adventures happened while in Alaska, involving black bears, fishing and crabbing–living the outdoor dream!

After high school, Rob attended Wyoming Technical School for Automotive Mechanics. He was a top notch mechanic. He loved working on all kinds of cars, trucks, and heavy equipment. His biggest achievement was when he met and married the love of his life, Nichol. They were married in the mountains of Wyoming in 2012. They loved taking rides in their Jeep and Big Trucks, hiking and camping, finding rocks and playing with their grandchildren–he was the best PaPa.

Rob is survived by his wife, Nichol (Nikki); Dad and Mom, Bob and Janet; Brothers, Andy (Kari) and Ricky (Rachel); father-in-law, Bill; Children, Chris and Brittany; Grandchildren, Kaleo, Rosalie, Addison and Gatlin; Lots of nieces and nephews and hundreds of cousins. He is predeceased by his daughter Kaitlyn.

Rev your engines in memory of Rob.

A celebration of life will be held at the Rainier Sportsman's Club on February 7, 2026 at 2 PM.
