In Loving Memory of Richard Dean Klumpp: 2006-2022

Richard Dean Klumpp passed away Jan. 19, 2022, in Pierce County, Washington, at age 15. He lived with Duchenne muscular dystrophy and passed away from complications of the disease. 

Richard was born May 7, 2006, to Kurt and Carmen Klumpp in Pierce County. 

A resident of Rainier, Washington, for 11 years, Richard completed ninth grade at Rainier High School. He was outspoken, determined, witty, tactful, strong-willed and smart. He enjoyed playing video games, watching disaster movies with destructive scenes, playing with cars and going to Universal Studios. He was a member of Prairie Baptist Fellowship. 

Richard is survived by his parents Kurt and Carmen Klumpp; grandparents Mark Miller, Shirlee Miller and Judy Sallmen; brothers KC Dean, David, Alexander, Kayden, Alex and Garrett Klumpp; and sisters Courtney and Brooke Klumpp. He was preceded by his grandparents Lloyd Klumpp and Carol Clinton- Klumpp. 

A service will be held Saturday, Feb. 19, 2022, 2 p.m. at Prairie Baptist Fellowship, 17525 state Route 507, Yelm, Washington, 98597.
