On Monday, Aug. 29, 2022, Patricia Sue (Poeschel) “Patti” Veltman, loving wife and sweet sister of three siblings, beloved daughter of two proud parents, passed away at age 63 in Seattle, Washington.

Patti was born on Oct. 9, 1958, in Renton, Washington, to Fred Sr. and Clell (Cornelison) Poeschel. She attended Prairie Bible Institute in Three Hills, Alberta, Canada, and Northwest Nazarene College in Nampa, Idaho. She was a loving and thoughtful caregiver over the years. On July 24, 2004, she married Koen Veltman from the Netherlands. Together they enjoyed over 18 years of loving marriage.

Patti was a devoted and loyal Christian lady. She attended the Church of the Nazarene and became the pastor’s wife of the Yelm Church of the Nazarene. She called him “Hubby” and Koen called her “Wifey” and “the most Wonderful Woman in the World.” They shared their life journey together, praising and serving Jesus.

Patti thrived in the company of her friends and family, especially her sister, Donna, and of course Koen and his children, Idwer and Nelske. She enjoyed watching Nelske’s daughter, Fayèn, grow up. Patti was known for her endearing shyness, her generous compassion and faithful spirit.
