Lester Rice Reichel, 94 years old, passed away on April 9, 2025, while in the home of his daughter, Sherri Anderson. His other two daughters, Jenny and Linda, were present.
Born Feb. 7, 1931, in Tacoma, Washington, one of a set of identical twins to Chester Lloyd Reichel and Verna Belle Rice Reichel, Lester was named after Rice's cousin, Dr. Lester Rice, a cousin of Verna's, who donated several units of blood to Verna due to the complications in delivering the twins.
Lester served in the Air Force and then was an air traffic controller in King County. He cattle ranched in Rainier, Washington, which was his love.
He is survived by his three daughters: Jennifer McAllister, Linda Brown and Sherri Anderson. We will all miss his hearty laugh and good nature.
A graveside service will be held on May 12, 2025, at Yelm Cemetery for any who have touched Lester's life.
