Leslie “Earl” Bachus, 67, passed away on August 5, 2024, at his home in Tenino, Washington. He was born in Arkansas on June 1, 1957, to Lois Wixson and John Bachus. He was a beloved family member and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Shortly after finishing high school, Earl joined the United States Army. He served our country for 20 years including two tours in Iraq. In 2002, he founded Bridge Road Electric.
Beyond his professional life, Earl had a passion for sailing, watching westerns and camping with his family. He will be remembered for always being willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.
Earl is survived by his loving family, including Dawn Bachus, whom he shared 45 years of his life’s journey with; and their four children, Brandy (Isaiah McAllister), Amber (Darrin Martin), Jon Bachus (Sherri) and Joe Bachus. Earl had two siblings, Sandy and Barbie, with whom he shared countless lifelong memories.
Earl had a special place in his heart for his grandchildren, Cassi (JD), Jimbo (Ashley), Hayden (Anika), Joey, Brooke, Hope and Isabella; as well as his great-grandchildren, Charlie and Rylie. They all brought immense energy and laughter into his life.
Throughout his life, Earl formed lasting friendships that became an extended family. His closest friends were Mitch Mitchell, Larry Chavez and Dave Westbrook, of which the families shared over 42 years of Father’s Day weekend camping trips at Offut Lake Resort in Tenino, Washington.
Earl was preceded in death by his father, John; his mother, Lois; and his sister, Barbie. Earl's passing will be mourned by his family members, friends and loved ones, who will forever cherish the precious moments and memories they shared together.
A celebration of life will be held on Aug. 10, 2024.
