In Loving Memory of Joseph Agosto: 1963-2025

Joseph Vincent Agosto II, born on January 14, 1963, in Spanaway, Washington, departed this world on May 12, 2025, in Rainier, Washington. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, leaving behind a rich legacy that will be cherished by all who knew him.

Joseph is survived by his beloved wife, Kimberly Agosto, and his devoted children: Tony Agosto, James Beck, Mathias Simon, Kyle Simon, and Tyler Simon, Breanna Agosto-Smith and Anna Agosto; sisters Jacquie Hill Agosto, Mary Sue Agosto, Dashia Agosto, and Gio Pianetti. He also took pride in his 19 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, who were a constant source of joy and inspiration in his life. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary Agosto, his siblings Lester Croker, Charles Agosto, and Cherry Runyon, along with his son, Vincent Agosto.

Having graduated from Yelm High School in 1981, Joseph furthered his education, obtaining an associate’s degree from Pacific Lutheran University. He then led a dedicated career in construction for most of his life.

Known for his humor and headstrong nature, Joseph was the foundation of his family and community, selflessly acting as a pillar for all who knew him. He was an avid hunter, a lover of music, and enjoyed singing and dancing, often bringing laughter to family gatherings. His culinary skills added to the many ways he expressed his love for his family.

A Celebration of Life will be held June 15th in his honor at Harry Todd Park, located at 8928 N. Thorne LN SW, Lakewood, WA, at 11:00 a.m.. As attendees gather to remember Joseph, they will surely share stories that exemplify his spirit and the impact he had on their lives.
Let us remember Joseph not just for the loss we feel but for the joy he brought to our lives and the enduring bond he created within his family. May he rest in peace.
