He attended Arroyo Grande High School in California. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Frances.

After high school, his dad taught him to become a plumber. He became very successful and also worked in the construction field. He plumbed and built all kinds of homes and businesses for many years. He retired three times.

He had a passion for cars and trucks and loved working on them and driving them, especially classic ones. He knew exactly what vehicle he drove and everything about them during his whole life. In May of 1960, he married Frances. In 1967, they moved to Yelm, Washington. He continued working in the plumbing and construction fields. He also installed septic systems. He had a restaurant in McKenna and also owned an auto wrecking yard in Yelm.

In the early ‘70s, he began going to church and made a decision to put God first in his life. He and his wife loved God and had family and friends over constantly for barbecues, Bible studies and get-togethers. He began singing in the church and loved being with people. He even built a church here in Yelm. He loved going camping with family and friends and enjoying his boat.
