Rainier High School track and field athletes Acacia Murphy and Ella Marvin set school records en route to winning Central 2B League titles on Friday, May 10 at Kalama High School. To celebrate, their coaches gave them vinyl records to break in front of their teammates.

Murphy smashed two records after she broke her own school high jump record with a 5-foot, 5-inch leap. Marvin set the RHS pole vault record with a 10-10 jump, surpassing a two-way tie between Nicole Talcott (2012) and Maria Savoca (2005), who each jumped 10-9. The two Rainier juniors are the reigning 2B state champions in their respective events.

Murphy first smashed a "Saturday Night Fever" record before she and Marvin both snapped "Elton John's Greatest Hits."
