Members of the South Thurston Economic Development Initiative Council watch Mayor of Tenino Wayne Fournier cut the ribbon in front of the Quarry House in Tenino on June 16. The historic building underwent significant renovations, in part funded by a $350,000 Community Development Block Grant that Thurston County provided in 2019. The Quarry House was originally the quarry office and headquarters of Tenino Sandstone Company and has been in the city for over 100 years. It is now used as a community center in Tenino City Park.
