The City of Yelm has been working with Part One Media, a production company located in Yelm, on a documentary about the history of the city to celebrate its centennial this year. The film will premiere at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9, with a red carpet event at Yelm Cinemas.
Tickets will be available beginning in October. The red carpet event will feature photo opportunities and movie theater snacks available for purchase.
Line Roy, Yelm’s communications and recreation coordinator, announced the release date at the South Thurston Economic Development Initiative meeting on Friday, Sept. 20. She said Yelm residents can expect the documentary to cover early Yelm history, what life was like “in the good ol’ days,” and some memorable stories from longtime residents.
