After Yelm High School’s baseball team concluded the 2025 season with a 12-11 record, which included the program’s first return to the postseason since the 2018 season, eight Tornados were named to the All South Puget Sound League (SPSL) team.
Three Tornados received the honors of first team All-SPSL, including junior middle infielder Parker Myers, junior outfielder Wesley Thompson and senior designated hitter Barrett Schnetz.
Myers finished his 2025 campaign batting .395 with an OPS (on-base plus slugging) of .947 and 16 stolen bases. He collected seven RBIs on the season. His teammate, Thompson, finished his junior season batting .451 with four home runs and 15 RBIs. He had an OPS of 1.273 and scored 14 runs on the year. Their senior teammate, Schnetz, finished his final season as a Tornado batting .368, with an OPS of 1.057, two home runs and 23 RBIs.
Two Tornados, juniors Landan Halterman and Lincoln Ramirez, were also named to the 2025 All-SPSL team. Halterman, a first baseman, concluded his season batting .317 with eight RBIs and an OPS of .813. Ramirez, a middle infielder, finished his campaign for the Tornados batting .364, with an OPS of .947 and 12 runs scored.
Three more Tornados were named to the All-SPSL team on the honorable mentions list, including junior pitcher Jonah Smith, senior pitcher Wyatt Robison and freshman pitcher Logan Caudill.
Smith pitched 23 innings this season and struck out 25 batters. He concluded the 2025 season with an ERA of 3.34 and a record of 3-1. Robison concluded his senior campaign with an ERA of 3.21 and 19 strikeouts. He had a record of 1-1, and had a BAA (batters average against) of just .031. The youngest of the honorable mentions, Caudill, finished his freshman campaign with an ERA of 3.00 and a 2-1 record. He had a BAA of .229 in his 18.2 innings pitched this season.
