The Rainier boy’s basketball team improved to 2-1 on Saturday, as the Mountaineers topped Forks 52-37.
The Mountaineers scored 23 points in the first quarter to open up a 16-point lead, and they led by 19 going into the break.
Josh Meldrum scored a team-high 16 points, while Jimmy Meldrum added 12. Jared Sprouffske and Peyton Sheaffer added seven each, and Jake Meldrum scored six.
The Mountaineers are back in action on Thursday, when they host Winlock.
