From Monday, Aug. 5, through Wednesday, Aug. 28, the public can expect traffic delays on Morris Road Southeast in Yelm from 148th Avenue Southeast to 133rd Avenue Southeast, according to Thurston County Public Works.
During that time, Thurston County Public Works crews will prepare and pave Morris Road Southeast. Construction is scheduled daily between 6 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., except for Aug. 14 and Aug. 15, when crews will work until 6 p.m.
Thurston County Public Works expects “minimal delays with single-lane closures,” except for Aug. 13 through Aug. 15, when the drivers can expect delays of up to 20 minutes. Reader boards will be placed along Morris Road Southeast to warn the public about the upcoming construction and expected delays.
Flaggers will be on site to direct traffic, and commuters are encouraged to plan for extra travel time or to find new routes during the construction.
For additional information regarding the project and lane closures, contact Nick Bemis, Thurston County Public Works road operations supervisor, at 306-867-2388 or at nick.bemis@co.thurston.wa.us.
