Rainier volleyball hosts Northwest Christian
The Rainier High School volleyball team will host non-conference Northwest Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 10, at Northwest Christian High School in Lacey, located at 4710 Park Center Ave NE.

Friday, Sept. 11
Yelm football at Lincoln
The Yelm Tornados football team will play its second contest of its 2026 campaign with a road game matchup against non-conference 3A Lincoln High School at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 4. The game itself will take place at Lincoln High School, located at 701 S 37th St, in Tacoma.

Rainier football hosts Pe Ell/Willapa Valley
Following a home loss to local rival Tenino High School, the Rainier Mountaineers football team looks to find its first win of the 2026 season in a 7 p.m. matchup on Friday, Sept. 11, at Rainier High School against Pe Ell/Willapa Valley.

Monday, Sept. 14
The World’s Greatest Breakup Letter
Join the City of Yelm and presenter Arthur Dolan at 6 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 14, at the Yelm Community Center for the presentation of “The World’s Greatest Breakup Letter: The Declaration of Independence.” Dolan will help the audience discover the story behind the Declaration of Independence through a fast-paced program that culminates in a reading of the original document.

Rainier volleyball hosts Toutle Lake
The Rainier High School volleyball team will host Central 2B League opponent Toutle Lake at 6 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 14, at Rainier High School.



Yelm volleyball hosts Toledo
The Yelm High School volleyball team will host non-conference opponent Toledo High School on Monday, Sept. 14, at 7 p.m. inside of the YHS gymnasium.

Wednesday, Sept. 16
Yelm girls soccer hosts WF West
Yelm High School’s girls soccer team will host WF West at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 16, in a non-conference matchup at YHS.

Sunday, Sept. 20
Yelm Lions Club ‘Souper Sunday: Breakfast Edition’
The Yelm Lions Club will host its monthly “Souper Sunday: Breakfast Edition” from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 20, at The Carlson Cabin, located 301 W Yelm Ave. The event aims to build community camaraderie through a free breakfast. Saturday, Sept. 27
37th annual Nisqually Watershed Festival
The 37th annual Nisqually Watershed Festival is scheduled for 10 a.m. through 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26, at the Billy Frank Jr. Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge, located at 100 Brown Farm Rd NE, in Olympia. Admission into the event is free, and activities include live musical performances, wildlife encounters, interactive exhibits, hands-on crafting activities and much more.
