Murder at the Short Stump Saloon
Standing Room Only Theater will present its annual murder mystery game from 6:30 to 9 p.m. on Friday, May 2, at Farrelli’s Pizza in Yelm. Tickets cost $70 for dinner, dessert, non-alcoholic beverages and a show. Tickets can be purchased online at www.SROTheater.org.

Saturday, May 3
Clues & Brews pub crawl
Tickets are available for the annual Clues & Blues pub crawl at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 3, and can be purchased online at https://tinyurl.com/CluesAndBrews. According to events.com, the event will begin at The UpTown Lounge in Yelm.

Yelm Farmers Market opening day
Yelm Farmers Market will kick off its series of weekly Saturday sales at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 3 near the water tower at 206 McKenzie Avenue. The event will feature a variety of vendors local to Yelm and the region.

Galaxy Fest
The City of Yelm Parks and Recreation department will host the annual “Galaxy Fest” event from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, at Yelm City Park – located 301 Second St. SE. The event will include activities from the Hands On Children’s Museum, Timberland Regional Library, Girl Scouts of Western Washington, Lego Alien Building and more. The event is free for community members to attend.

Saturday, May 17
City of Yelm Spring Cleanup

The City of Yelm’s spring cleanup event will return at 8 a.m. on Saturday, May 17, as Yelm Public Works invites Yelm residents of the 98597 area code to bring their large, non-hazardous household items to dispose of. The event will last until “dumpsters are full,” according to its Facebook event tab.

Roy Rodeo returns
The annual Roy Pioneer Rodeo is set return from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 31, at the Roy Rodeo Grounds, located 8710 Higgins Greig Road in Roy. Tickets for the event will be available for purchase at the front gate.

Sunday, June 1

Party on the Prairie: Summer Concert
The Party on the Prairie: Summer Concert event will return at 5 p.m. on Friday, June 13, at Yelm City Park — located 108 SE McKenzie Ave. The event will feature a beer garden, food trucks and live music which includes local artists Dakota Poorman, the Olson Brothers, and country music star Adam Craig.

Saturday, June 28
Color Fun Run
The partnership between the City of Yelm and Youth Athletics Recreation Development (YARD) will continue at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 28, at Yelm City Park as the annual Color Fun Run returns. Participants can choose their distance of a one-mile run, a 3K run or a 5K run. Everyone 2 years old and up are invited to attend, and registration costs $30.
