Raise for Rowyn auction and gala
Local non-profit organization Raise for Rowyn will host an auction and gala event at 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, at the Great Wolf Lodge — located at 20500 Old Highway 99 SW in Centralia. The event will feature a silent auction, a live auction, a paddle raise, a dessert dash, raffle games, live entertainment and dinner. All proceeds from the event benefit Raise for Rowyn — which provides emotional and financial support to families enduring the loss of a child. Earth Day clean up and student challenge
The City of Yelm Parks and Recreation department will host an Earth Day clean up and student challenge from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, at Yelm City Park. You can register for the competition on the City of Yelm’s website.

30th annual City of Yelm Arbor Day celebration
The City of Yelm will host its 30th annual Arbor Day Celebration at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, at Yelm City Park’s Centennial Stage. The event will include tree planting, an art walk, community engagement, live music and more.
Yelm FFA plant sale
Yelm High School’s FFA club will host its annual plant sale from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, and from 8 a.m. until sold out on Friday, April 24. Proceeds from the sale will directly benefit the club. Cash, card and check are all acceptable forms of payment at the event. YHS asks that attendees drive and park down Tornado Alley for the event.

Nisqually Valley Spring Expo
The annual Nisqually Valley Spring Expo will return from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, and Sunday, April 26, at Yelm Middle School. Yelm Farmers Market opening day
The Yelm Farmers Market will celebrate its opening day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 2, at 206 McKenzie Ave. in Yelm. A vendors list will soon be released on the market’s self-titled Facebook page, which you can follow for updates and information about the Saturday-based activities.
