Thurston County Commissioner Rachel Grant on May 15 announced the launch of the Community Learning Collaborative, a regional event with the intention of strengthening community connections, promoting equitable access to care and sparking collective action for healthy and resilient communities.

In a news release sent by Grant’s executive aide, Ashley Brooks, event organizers said the Community Learning Collaborative is part of an ongoing effort to weave systems of care by bringing diverse voices together around shared learning, resource coordination and strategic planning.

The event is set for 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 5, at the Lacey Community Center, located 6729 Pacific Ave. SE, Lacey. Doors open at 5 p.m., and community members, service providers, educators, public health professionals and civic leaders are invited to attend the free event.

“This collaborative is about listening, learning and leading together,” Grant said. “When we create space for conversation across sectors and communities, we open the door to innovation, connection and lasting change.”

Event highlights include:
• Interactive sessions focused on behavioral health, youth wellbeing and equitable service access.
• Resource sharing with organizations offering services in healthcare, education, housing and more.
• Collaborative mapping activities to identify community strengths, needs and opportunities for growth.
