Members of Cascade Warbirds will be exhibiting their aircraft at the Olympic Airshow on June 20 and 21 in the annual event that marks the beginning of the northwest airshow season, a news release from the Cascade Warbirds announced.

Among the featured aircraft will be a Boeing B-17F, a Grumman TBM-3E Avenger, a PBY-5A Catalina, aerobatic pilots, and flights by other aircraft from the museum’s collection, including a P-51D Mustang and helicopters.

The Cascade Warbirds are a group of military aviation enthusiasts from throughout the Pacific Northwest. Many members are pilot-owners who operate a wide variety of former military aircraft.

For 28 years, Father’s Day weekend at the Olympia Regional Airport has been recognized for its wide variety of aircraft, from nostalgic vintage bi-planes to high-performance jets. Demonstration and formation flying by members of Cascade Warbirds have been a consistent part of the over three-hour aerial performance, the release stated.
