29th annual Yelm Dollars for Scholars action and dinner set for March 9

For the 29th year in event history, Yelm Dollars for Scholars will host its annual auction to directly benefit and support Yelm High School seniors in their post-high school journey.

A live auction and dinner is scheduled for 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, March 9 at the Lake Lawrence Community Club, 15735 Topaz Drive SE, Yelm. Early bird pricing, which lasts through Thursday, Feb. 8, costs $55 per person or $400 for a table of eight. General pricing opens on Feb. 9 and costs $60 per person or $450 for a table of eight. Activities include exclusive-item bidding, a dessert dash and a “bling ring” raffle. The event aims to foster community unity between neighbors, businesses within Yelm and educators dedicated to shaping the future of education in Yelm.

“We are enthusiastic about celebrating our 29th annual auction and advancing our mission to empower local students through education,” Dan Huttmann, Yelm Dollars for Scholars Board president, said in a press release. “The generosity of our community has played a pivotal role in positively impacting students’ lives, and we anticipate another successful event.”

Yelm Dollars for Scholars has distributed over $2.6 million in scholarships to YHS graduates, and each year the organization works to continue offering opportunities to students in their post-high school plan.
