131848 Notice of Public Hearing NOTICE of Public Hearing Before the Board of Thurston County Commissioners A public hearing will be held to consider public comments regarding the program year (PY) 2023 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER). The PY 2023 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) for Thurston County's Home Investment Partnership Program (HOME) and Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program is an annual summary report explaining how federal HOME and CDBG funds were expended for program year 2023, which covers the period September 1, 2023 to August 31, 2024. The report is required by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), which also requires that the county conduct an annual public hearing for the review of the county's past performance and to solicit public comments. A minimum 15-day public comment period will begin on or around November 8, 2024 and end at on November 25, 2024. A draft copy of the PY 2023 CAPER can be obtained at https://www.thurstoncountywa.gov/departments/public-health-and-social-services/social-services/office-housing-and-homeless or between the hours of 9am and 4pm at the front desk of the Public Health & Social Services building located at 412 Lilly Rd NE, Olympia, WA 98506. The final PY 2023 CAPER will include any public comments received by the county during the 15-day public comment period and at the public hearing. The Board of County Commissioners will approve the submission of the final report after the end of the public comment period at their November 25, 2024 meeting. The report is to be submitted to HUD on or around November 30, 2024.
