131787 Revised Notice of Public Hearing REVISED - NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE THURSTON COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS DATE REVISED - The Thurston County Board of County Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Monday, November 25, 2024 at 3:30 p.m., or soon thereafter in Suite 110, 3000 Pacific Avenue SE, Olympia, WA 98501. The purpose of the hearing is to take public comment on the Long-Term Agriculture Designation and Zoning Update, which is part of CPA-16 Community Driven Review of Agricultural Policies and Programs. Proposed amendments impact the comprehensive plan, future land use map and zoning map. Documents will be posted online at www.thurstonag.org. The proposed amendments update designation criteria for long-term agriculture lands and result in no new long-term agriculture zoning across the County. Amendments also allow for landowners adjacent to existing Long-Term Agriculture to voluntarily enroll in the Long-Term Agriculture zoning district; interested landowners must apply by Nov. 25, 2024 to be considered this year. The Board may take action following the public hearing on Nov. 25, 2024, or at any regularly scheduled meeting thereafter. Those wishing to testify should appear in person or connect remotely via Zoom and be heard.
